About the Artist

I was born and raised in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, where I discovered my love for art and music at a very young age. I was especially drawn to the tiny details — the kind of details that make people say, “Wait… you actually noticed that?”

In 2006, fueled by adventure (and perhaps a little bit of “let’s see what happens!” energy), I packed my bags and moved to San Diego, California, all on my own.

In 2018, my partner, Michael, became interested in experiencing life overseas, so we relocated to Tokyo for a few years. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived shortly after our move in 2019 and quickly changed everything. I remember thinking, “If I stay like this, I’m going to wither away! I have to do something!” With an endless curiosity and absolutely no talent for sitting still, I eventually found my way to stained glass.

I don’t remember exactly when I became interested in glass art. I just know that I was captivated by the way light shines through glass. The brilliant colors, the reflections, and the way the light changes from moment to moment create a sense of wonder and fill my heart with excitement. There is something magical about how a simple piece of glass can transform with the changing light and reveal something new every time you look at it.
